Hotel Textile Products From Real Manufacturer
Everyone dreams of their summer holiday after working all year, and many of us use our annual leave in June, July, or August. But what if a hotel lacks essential items or has insufficient supplies? Would you go back? There's no need to think twice—the answer is, of course, "No." So, what essential items should every hotel have? Here’s the answer in our article...
What Items Should Be in Hotels?
Hotels should have beds, bed linen sets, towels, mattress protectors, blankets, and toiletries as the basic necessities. Considering these are in constant use, it is wise to keep spares for each item or at least 50% of them to ensure continuity. If the price is right, buying in bulk for these constantly needed items can also be beneficial.
When it comes to hotel stays, comfort in bed is a priority. A high-quality bed will ensure guests have a restful night. No one pays attention to the brand of the mattress, but extremely poor quality or the cheapest options should be avoided. The choice of mattress may vary depending on budget and the hotel’s standard. It’s best to choose a mattress that’s soft yet resilient, with a warranty.
When selecting high-quality bed linens, factors such as thread count and washing temperature are important. Thread count is the primary factor determining quality in linens. Thread counts vary between 57, 63, 83, and 120, where 57-thread count linens, often called construction linens, are not recommended for hotels due to frequent washing. Hotels should start with a 63-thread count, while five-star hotels or those catering to luxury clients should consider 83-thread count linens. Although more costly, 120-thread linens can also be a luxurious choice.
High-quality towels are characterized by softness and absorbency. Generally, a higher towel weight (gsm) signifies better quality. For hand towels or face towels at 50x90 cm, a starting weight of 200 grams is suitable. For higher-quality options, 250-300 grams is preferred, offering increased softness.
Foot towels should generally be 50x70 cm and weigh 200 grams, ideal for both hotel and home use. Like face towels, higher-quality options at 250-300 grams are available.
Bath towels are standard 70x140 cm with a 400-gram weight, suitable for hotel, home, and gym use. Higher-quality options range from 500-600 grams for added absorbency.
Given that hotel beds are used daily, they may wear out quickly. A mattress protector extends the mattress's life by protecting it from dirt, moisture, and odor. Choose protectors with a higher cotton content for breathability. PU membrane fabrics are fully waterproof and are a popular choice in hotels and hospitals. Quilted protectors shield against dirt and odors but are not waterproof, making them suitable for home use.
In our country, there is often a belief that heavier blankets are better. While this can be true, some suppliers add low-quality materials to increase weight artificially, misleading customers. High-quality products are rarely inexpensive. Two popular blanket types are **acrylic blankets** and **[wool blankets](https://www.beyaznevresim.com/home-textile/linens-group/blanket/)**. Acrylic blankets feel like wool and cotton, are easy to wash, and are resistant to moths and pests. Wool blankets are traditionally preferred in colder climates for warmth.
Toiletries in hotels include small shampoos, cotton buds, soaps, and other personal care items. These items can be customized with hotel logos and are usually portioned for a 3-day or 1-week stay.
